"Absolutely! When we started working on the hybrid riding leggings, our main goal was to create a garment that combines the best of both worlds - the classic style of traditional riding pants and the superior comfort of modern leggings. I wanted to create something that not only looked great but also allowed riders to feel free and comfortable in the saddle.

Anyone who pays attention can see that the details and cut of the pants are very reminiscent of our previous riding pants model 'Miami'. I think Miami is the absolute most beautiful pants in our range, but the material has been too stiff to achieve the perfect fit - the sturdier material didn't really suit our target group. To not let the design go to waste completely, as I really love its aesthetics, I continued to develop it to create a completely new pair of pants that I believe fits our target group much better. Our Ohio riding leggings are the most popular model among our customers thanks to their fit. So the vision when we started the project was to take Miami's sleek details and combine them with the perfect fit from Ohio."

Can you tell us a bit about your vision when you started designing the hybrid riding leggings?

"You have to start with setting a clear vision, as I mentioned earlier, where we took a stylish pair of riding pants and transformed them into something as comfortable as a pair of leggings. Then it's important to identify the target audience, and in this case, I've had our Ohio-loving customers in mind. I know that fit and comfort are crucial for this demographic, and I wanted to create pants that are as comfortable as their favorite leggings but suitable for when they want to feel a bit more dressed up. When it comes to materials, it's crucial for fit and feel. The material in Ohio is fantastic, and I used its properties to develop the hybrid riding leggings. To achieve additional compression and a luxurious feel, the material in London is slightly thicker than Ohio's, but with the same fantastic composition and properties.

The process from idea to potential launch typically takes about 1.5 years, longer than you might think, but there are many factors to consider. Working with new materials requires precision when it comes to fit and size guide, which is the most time-consuming. To ensure the fit, I usually involve some of our most loyal customers to test the new sizes and gather feedback."

How do you think they turned out?

"I personally am overwhelmed by the result, haha! With the wide waistband and the flexible fit, I actually think they turned out fantastic. I truly believe that we will be able to attract our loyal Ohio customers to try out this new model."

It's always a bit tricky when you have such an established model like Ohio, which has been a favorite among our customers for so many years. I've really had these customers in mind when developing the hybrid riding leggings, and I'm so excited to hear their reactions to the fit. I know that many have been requesting a more dressed-up leggings model where they can also use a belt, so I think these leggings will meet their expectations in every way.
